Four Seasons Health Care unifies the supplier management process using ARCUS® SIM
Four Seasons Health Care is one of the United Kingdom’s largest independent health care providers, caring for more than 10,000 people across the country. They provide long-term and respite residential and nursing care for the elderly, and are also award-winning, sector leading dementia care specialists.

By the very nature of their business, companies in the healthcare sector need to ensure that they have a strong focus on efficiency, compliance and providing a quality service, resulting in Four Seasons Health Care having a complex supply chain. This supply chain included numerous suppliers of varying sizes, including those at a local, regional and national level, and each of these had their own method of communication with Four Seasons Health Care.
Previously, managing this had been an awkward and time-consuming process for the procurement department, including substantial administration through paperwork, telephone calls and emails to their suppliers.
To streamline the supplier on-boarding process, Four Seasons Health Care implemented ARCUS® Supplier Information Management (SIM), an online, cloud-based solution developed and provided by Trade Interchange.
Now, the procurement department has a central repository for all supplier information and supporting documentation, including, but not limited to anti-bribery policies, health and safety, insurance documents and modern slavery statements. The cloud-based nature of the software has completely digitised the approach to streamlining supplier management, meaning key stakeholders can access accurate, up-to-date supplier information from any location and at any time from any internet-enabled device.
Data accuracy is enhanced by placing the responsibility of uploading information directly onto suppliers, who on-board themselves by answering questionnaires that have been tailored to meet Four Season Health Care’s specific requirements.
Not only this does remove the potential for re-keying errors, but suppliers cannot submit their questionnaires until they have been 100% completed. This means that the procurement department does not have to waste time by chasing suppliers for uncomplete responses, allowing them to spend more time on valuable procurement duties.
