New Research: Foodservice Supplier Management Report

Over 70% of foodservice and hospitality operators could be putting their brand’s reputation on the line by focusing on reducing risks at a product level without also considering the risks that exist at the supplier level. This is according to Trade Interchange’s new research report.
‘Mind the gap: is your brand’s reputation at risk?’ was conducted by Caterlyst on behalf of Trade Interchange, and surveyed senior executives in foodservice and hospitality companies who, between them, operate over 8,800 UK sites.
The report explores key areas, including:
Mike Edmunds, co-founder and managing director at Trade Interchange, said: “The findings in this report highlight that the reputational risks that come from the ineffective management of suppliers (as opposed to their products) are still underestimated by many.
“All respondents recognise that the ‘downstream’ effort needed to ensure compliance at a product level is critical but there is a growing risk that this could be undermined by a lack of attention ‘upstream’.”
